Professional Background

Qualified as Foot Health Professional in 2003 with addition training in Cryotherapy and Biomechanics. Previously qualified as a State Registered Nurse in 1979 with experience in a GP practice and part of the diabetic team and in the community in palliative care. This has given me an understanding of many health issues that may affect your feet

Advice and Treatment

Advice and treatment given for foot, ankle and lower limb disorders including:

  • general foot care including corn, calluses, cracked heels
  • problems such as thickened, fungal or ingrown toenails
  • verrucae including cryotherapy
  • additional foot complications caused by diabetes & rheumatoid arthritis
  • biomechanical assessment & gait analysis to assess lower limb function to restore balance and improve function
    • to help identify the possible causes of metatarsal and heel pain, hip, knee and back pain
    • specific exercises to stretch and strengthen muscles and ligaments
    • orthotics/ insoles, special devices to wear inside shoes to cushion, control & realign
    • footwear guidance
